How Longevicals began, what we do and why, and what we choose not to say.
Our years are getting longer. Our healthy years are not keeping the same pace.
I noticed this first close to home, in the daily lives of people I love. When I wanted to do something about it, I started with supplement labels. Big numbers, bold words… Working out what each one really said was harder than I expected.
One day I changed the question. Instead of "How much?", I began to ask: What is inside, in what form, and who checks it? Longevicals grew out of those three questions.
We decided to work with a specialist partner in each category and to leave the testing to independent programmes: NUA Biological Innovations for omega-3, and VitamoreD™ technology for vitamin D.
This is a slower path. Some sentences, however tempting, we have chosen never to write. Our aim is to stand beside the small, informed choices you make every day. Our approach is pro-longevity.

In her early career, Dr Aguirre worked across clinical analysis, medical translation and teaching at pharmaceutical conferences. That mix of disciplines became the basis of NUA's approach to research.
NUA received the 2022 Cantabria Food Innovation Excellence Award and has taken part in INFARMA, Spain's pharmacy trade fair, for ten years. NuaDHA® and NuaEPA® are IFOS 5-Star certified.

The science of the Nua Series
Marine biologist with a PhD from the University of Leeds (1993). She founded NUA in 2008. As co-founder and R&D director, she is the person behind the NuaDHA® and NuaEPA® formulations.
Functional nutritionist. With Dilly Kular, she founded Made By Daily, the British company behind the calcidiol (calcifediol) based VitamoreD™.
Made By Daily (formerly Nouveau Healthcare) is a British supplement company based in Coventry. Its founders have more than 25 years of combined experience in supplements. Tracey Raye works on the clinical side as a functional nutritionist. Dilly Kular spent 13 years in regulation, manufacturing and quality control in the industry.
The founders' starting point is to begin with physiology, not marketing, and to show their work openly. In their view, not being ill and being well are not the same thing.
VitamoreD™ technology, developed in the United Kingdom, puts calcidiol in a small tablet. Calcidiol is the form of vitamin D in which the liver conversion step is already complete. Uth-FastD™ is made with this technology.
